Almost done with Christmas!

I've been a busy little elf!!  I thought I was almost done with Christmas but things just keep popping up.  I hate doing things last minute, but that's just how I roll.

The challenge over at BBTB2 was to use a tag from Winter Frolic.  I may be a little late in posting this since they have already got their new challenge up, but I couldn't resist not playing along.  I love all the tag cuts from Winter Frolic!!

My first project is a gift card box.  I don't like just giving gift cards in a card...I like to make them a little bit special.  This box cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More was just perfect.

I thought I was done with Christmas cards but my boyfriend's mom asked me to make just one more for her.

And then she needed a gift bag.  I had this plain kraft bag and decided to alter it a bit.

I wish I could say I was done with Christmas, but I have some things left to make. Ay yi yi!! I'm just kidding! I love Christmas crafts. And I'll be sad when it's all done and over with! =(

Thank you all for stopping by!

Also, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!  May your holiday be filled with Love, Happiness and Family!

Sandy Claws

I am sad to say that this is my last Christmas card. I was sad because I was thinking that all of my Christmas crafting was done, but I need to make a couple of other things still.  So Christmas is not over just yet!!! =)

Santy Claus

It seems like something is missing but I was crunched for time. I am still very happy with how it turned out. I know my family will love it.

It's been real fun making my holiday cards this year. I made them last year, too, but this year, I am very proud of how much time and thought went into each card. Last year, I made a couple of designs and mass produced. But my goal this year was to make each card special and unique. And I did just that. I am really excited to see what I can accomplish next year!!

Jingle Bells

I needed an elegant Christmas card to send to my Abuela in Mexico.  Elegant isn't really my style.  Mine is more fun, bright and cheery.  In my book, Gold, is the epitome of elegance.  So, I knew I needed to incorporate the color in my card.

Bells

I am loving the gold on gold.  FYI, this look is absolutely delicious when wrapping gifts.  Use gold wrapping paper and tie it all up with some gold ribbon.  Hello, beautiful!!!

Have a Holly, Jolly Christmas!!

As I mentioned before, I am on a serious budget.  I mean, s-e-r-i-o-u-s. Can you believe it has been almost a month since I have stepped foot in Jo-ann, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby?  Oh, the humanity!!  I am having serious withdrawals here. Anyway....

I did happen to splurge on a couple of things before I went on said budget.  For instance, my yummy Doodlebug Christmas twine.  So pretty, so colorful, how could I not resist? And then there was Echo Park.  I was really adamant about not spending a single penny on paper this year, but after seeing the Holly Jolly line, it was love at first sight.  I absolutely love the prints and the colors.  I mean, seriously, could Echo Park do no wrong?  I am in awe of all of their lines but this one has to be the funnest. I forget what the point of my story is.  Really, there's none.  I just wanted you to know about my deep, sincere and unconditional love for Echo Park.

Oh wait!!  Here's my point.  I made 2 cards using paper and stickers from Echo Park.  I know I used some of these supplies in my previous Holiday card posts, but these two hold a special place in my heart.  And I'm not sure why.   Maybe, because they have 2 of my most favorite ingredientses (I love the way Teresa Giudice says this).  Nope, make that 3 (I see stickles!!).  Or maybe because I really thought outside of the box to come up with these ideas.  Whatever the reason, these are two little lovelies that I am pretty happy with.

Sorry about all of the gushing over my OWN creations. LOL It's all in good fun! I'm not really that egotistical. =)

A Stocking Full of...Money!

And that's just what my nephew is getting.  Well, not a stocking, but a money holder with a stocking on it.  Close enough!  He is 2000 miles away so it is hard to keep up with what toys and games he has.  So, I just send him money to spend as he pleases.  I think he is pretty happy with that arrangement.

Stocking Money Holder

This stocking came out so cute, I had to duplicate it and slap it onto a holiday card (as seen on my previous post).  There's just something about tiny gifts tied up with twine that kills me.  Oh yeah, and glitter.  I am a sucker for all the glittery stuff.  And I couldn't help adding it to my stocking and candy cane.

Christmas Card Galore

I was able to get back to crafting sooner than I thought.  I really need to get my holiday cards out by today so I kept my hands super busy the past couple of days.  The fruits of my labor:

Next year, I will need to invest in some sentiment stamps. I'm on a budget and I tried not to buy one thing for my holiday cards. And I succeeded (with the exception of some Doodlebug twine and some Echo Park goodness), but using the same sentiment stamps got a bit redundant. All in all, I do love how they all turned out. I do have a bit more to make, but those will come later.

Thank you so much for looking!

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge 66

The minute I saw the cute little reindeer on the Holly Jolly sticker sheet, I was in love. He's such a cutie and I just had to use him for my card! I used Peachy Keen's sketch for this card.

Holly Jolly Christmas Cards

I just started my Christmas cards.  3 down, a gazillion to go.  I'm the biggest procrastinator and I've been meaning to craft and craft and craft until I have all the cards I need, but so much has been happening that I just haven't had the chance.  So this year, fast and simple is going to be my go-to style.  Especially since I will be out of commission for about a week =(.  I seriously need to get the ball rolling.

This year I wanted to make each card I sent out different. My, aren't we being ambitious!  But I think I can do it and be finished with them and have them ready to go the week before Christmas!  A little late, but still on time. =)
